HAPS worked with The L'Enfant Trust, a non-profit organization that seeks to protect DC's historic neighborhoods and streetscapes, when first starting their Historic Properties Redevelopment Program. HAPS helped the Trust find possible candidates suitable for the Program in Historic Anacostia. 

 

The Program's first project was a 1912 wood-frame, cottage-style home that was in considerable disrepair. The second was an 1887 Queen Anne Victorian home suffering from demolition by neglect. Both structures were rehabilitated and restored, and now continue to contribute to the beauty of the Anacostia Historic District.

HAPS continues its involvement with The L'Enfant Trust as they progress with their Historic Properties Redevelopment Program.
